For a sewer hose to empty completely, every foot of it needs to sit lower than the foot before it — one low spot and waste pools there, sits between dumps, and becomes the smell you can’t find. A support’s entire job is to create that continuous fall from your outlet to the sewer connection. Ground-based supports can only do that job when the ground already slopes the right way.
What each terrain does to a ground-based support
Gravel pads
Accordion feet settle unevenly into loose gravel, tilting segments and creating dips. Every time you walk past or the wind gusts, it settles a little differently.
Grass & soft ground
Supports sink where the ground is soft, mowing crews have to work around them, and a week of rain turns the footprint into ruts that hold the hose low.

Site slopes toward your RV

What is the best RV sewer hose support for uneven ground?
A suspended support. Ground-based accordion supports mirror the terrain they sit on, so uneven ground becomes an uneven hose. The Levitator suspends the hose from a tension line anchored at both ends, keeping a continuous downhill run regardless of what’s underneath.
Can I make an accordion support work on a sloped site?
Sometimes, with shims, blocks, and patience — and it needs redoing every time the ground shifts or you re-park. If the site slopes toward your RV, the accordion’s few inches of built-in taper usually can’t overcome it.
